The protagonist, Mitsuda Takuzo, is asked by his ex-girlfriend Yanoguchi Mia and her boyfriend Satomura Shinpei to become a “three-person couple”. Takuzo initially refuses, saying it’s too unexpected, but he gradually starts living together as a trio under the pretext of a “one-year trial period”.
