Luk Chin Yu has always been leveraging her superpower of identifying lies to make profits until she meets Man Jo Wo, a genius composer whom she cannot hear a single lie from. Doubting whether her power has malfunctioned, Chin Yu keeps on approaching Jo Wo to test her ability, until she finds out he was the stranger who helped her 5 years prior, as well as the murder suspect of a missing girl case. Jo Wo has been hiding in anonymity for years from public despise, but things change when Chin Yu decides to believe in his innocence and is determined to uncover the truth of his case. The two, who have since then got closer, develop unexpected affection towards and open up to each other, with Chin Yu rebuilding her trust in people under the curse of her power, and Jo Wo trying to live a normal life again.
