Movie plot

The 15-year-old “good girl” Qian Jia Yue is admitted to a prestigious high school, where she faces various academic challenges. Her plan to confess to her neighbor, the outstanding student Xiao Han, ends in failure. Her foster brother, Mao Tou, is intelligent but always causing trouble. Qian Jia Yue befriends a new, bold friend, Chen Mo, and the girls grow through their friendship. Meanwhile, the parents go through a series of life changes, including family crises and restructuring.

Chen Xiue, a former educated youth who returned to the city, has a strained relationship with her daughter, Qian Jia Yue, due to her long absence. When Qian Jia Yue’s grandmother passes away, the emotional entanglements between the three generations of women are resolved. Chen Peng Yu, who prides himself on being an elite, realizes after clashing with his rebellious daughter Chen Mo that each generation has its own “mission.”

Guan Ai Ping, a strong-willed woman, raises Xiao Han on her own after being laid off. “Small business owner” Zhang Qi Ming learns to get along with his mischievous son Maotou and, after many ups and downs, reconstitutes a family with Guan Ai Ping. Despite changing times, the warmth of family love and the neighborly care in the community remain constant.
